Power System: Operational and Market Security
14 August marks Power Engineers’ Day – a celebration of the people whose work enables the power system to operate safely, reliably and efficiently every day. On this occasion, the team behind the Power System: Operational and Market Security – SEBOR Conference extends its warmest wishes to all energy professionals: may your work bring you satisfaction, professional and academic success, safe working conditions in your daily duties, and the energy and motivation to take on new challenges.
We have begun work on the programme for the SEBOR’27 Conference, which will take place from 6 to 8 April 2027 in Kazimierz Dolny nad Wisłą. We invite representatives of academia, system operators, energy companies, public administration and the energy market to suggest topics that should be addressed during next year’s conference.
Nine further SEBOR’26 post-conference papers have been published in the July 2026 issue of Przegląd Elektrotechniczny, No. 7/2026. The publications cover grid security, cable pooling, energy communities, nuclear energy, voltage stability and the impact of renewable energy sources on the Polish Power System. Congratulations to all Authors. Read more at pe.org.pl.
The SEBOR Conference has been granted the patronage of the Committee on Electrical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences. This is an important distinction for us and a confirmation of the high substantive level of the event. We regard this patronage as both an honour and a commitment to the Conference's further development. We hope that it will also open up new publication opportunities for the Authors of conference papers and post-conference articles.
On 17–19 March 2026, the SEBOR’26 Conference was held in Kazimierz Dolny on the Vistula. The event gathered 150 participants, featured 30 papers and 3 discussion panels, confirming the importance of cooperation between science, system operators and public administration for power system security. SEBOR’27 will be held on 6–8 April 2027.
